At Harkness Roses, we take your privacy seriously. Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data — commonly known as the “right to be forgotten.”
If you'd like your information removed from our systems, we’re here to help.
What does this mean?
Requesting removal means we will delete your personal details [in accordance with UK GDPR laws] from our internal systems, including:
- Name, email, and contact details
- Postal address (used for catalogue mailings)
- Order and enquiry history
- Marketing preferences
Once completed, this means:
- You will no longer receive marketing emails or post from us
- We will not be able to reference past orders, returns, or enquiries
How to Request Removal
To request removal of your personal data under GDPR, please Send us a Message and include:
- Your full name
- The email address and postal address we may hold
- A clear request stating that you wish to have your personal data erased
We may require verification before completing the request, to protect your privacy.
Important Information
- If you currently have an active order, we recommend waiting until it has been delivered before requesting data removal.
- Some limited data may be retained for legal or regulatory reasons (e.g. financial records or fraud prevention), but it will no longer be used for marketing or communication purposes.
- Once your data is removed, we will not be able to retrieve it or assist with queries relating to past orders.
- Should you wish for your details to be removed, please be aware that you will lose the ability to claim against the Lifetime Guarantee on any winter hardy products as we will not be able to access your previous order details.
